Marketing Manager, Data & Analysis
REPORTS TO: Director of Sales & Advertising

The Marketing Manager, Data & Analysis, provides sales reporting, performs data extractions and segmentations to create marketing lists and schedule reports primarily from our Tessitura ticketing platform, performs data analysis, and runs our post-performance surveys program. This position reports to the Director of Sales & Advertising and is situated on the marketing team, which along with the development fundraising team comprises Lyric’s advancement department. In addition to working with the marketing team, they will stay connected with two other data analytics-based positions on the development team to share best practices, learning, and to set and maintain data standards across the organization.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Data Extraction & Audience Segmentation
- Build lists and extractions for marketing emails, trades, and direct mail campaigns using Tessitura.
- Assist with the import of outside lists and marketing demographic research.
- Extract constituent data for demographic appends via external vendors.
- Manage routine and ad hoc list requests and data clean-up projects.
- Document processes, best-practices, and overall workflows.
Report Building and Analysis
- Build new and revised existing reports in the ticketing and analytics platform.
- Schedule advance reports.
- Maintain and update dashboards in Tessitura Analytics to support audience insights.
- Assist marketing leadership with data analysis.
- Append demographics data to reporting.
- Provide reporting on marketing efforts for a variety of needs from development to general year-end wrap-ups.
- Maintain direct mail and email response reporting and lead conclusion campaign reports.
- Liaise with other departments as part of an institutional data team.
- Serve as project lead for research projects.
- Assist in basic Google Analytics reporting.
Post-Performance Surveys
- Manage and execute the Post-Performance Survey (PPS) process, utilizing Python for data transformation.
- Perform annual updates to the PPS, including enhancements to Looker Studio dashboards and minor code adjustments.
- Serve as organizational admin for Survey Monkey.
Assist Ticketing Data Set Up and Management
- Assist with new Tessitura version upgrades through testing, and maintaining a general awareness of data-related changes.
- Assist with season build by proofing pricing and by providing reports and lists to support the subscription campaign.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
- 3–5 years of experience in analytics and reporting is required, ideally in ticketing and the arts; experience with Tessitura is ideal.
- Commensurate work experience with data management.
- Experience with Python a plus, or a willingness to learn for the role.
- Interest in learning new reporting and analytics tools.
- Creative problem-solving skills
- Driven by audience curiosity and desire for knowledge to inform better marketing choices.
- The ability to articulate problems, needs, and solutions is essential.
- Strong written, oral, and interpersonal skills are essential, including the ability to interact effectively with co-workers from various disciplines.
- Familiarity with music, theatre, and/or opera is helpful but not required.
WORK CONDITIONS:
- Ability to occasionally oversee evening or weekend functions, deployments, or performances.
- Sitting or standing for extended periods.
- Ability to occasionally lift about 35 lbs.
- Ability to operate a computer with or without accommodations.
COMPENSATION:
Job Classification: Full-time, Exempt
Salary is $55,000-$62,000
